ARPES study of Pb doped Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_8 - an unambiguous case for an electron-like Fermi surface
Abstract
High resolution angle resolved photoemission data from Pb doped Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_8 (Bi2212) with suppressed superstructure is presented. Data with improved resolution and very high momentum space sampling of three Brillouin zones unambiguously demonstrates the presence of a large electron-like Fermi surface in this compound. Several complementary methods for determining the Fermi surface are applied yielding the same result, contradicting earlier reports of a universal hole-like Fermi surface in this compound.Keywords
