Abstract
A description is given of the construction and principles of operation of the Precipitron and miniature Cottrell‐type electrostatic precipitators. Measurements have been made of the efficiency of these two types of precipitator in removing chemical dust from the air. Details are given of the experimental method and the efficiency values are compared with those obtained for a number of commercial dust‐filters tested under similar conditions.
