Abstract
Synthetic pheromone applied in ConRel® fibers to 2- to 4-ha field plots reduced reproductive rates of Orgyia psuedotsugata (McDunnough). In plots with low population densities, nominal dosages of 0, 2.3, 9, and 36 g/ha of pheromone resulted in 0.26, 0.07, 0.02, and 0 egg masses/female, respectively. At higher population densities,. 0.21 egg masses/female were produced in a plot treated with 36 g/ha compared to 0.97 egg masses/female in the untreated plot. Actual dosages were estimated at ¼–½ the aforementioned nominal dosages. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
