Comparability and Sensitivity of Set 2 (Lists E, F, and G) of the Depression Adjective Check Lists

Abstract
To test the comparability of Set 2 (Lists E, F, and G) of the Depression Adjective Check Lists (DACL), 74 Ss who participated in a 1-wk. sensitivity group conference were given all three lists on three occasions: just prior to the onset of the conference, at the end of the second small-group meeting, and at the end of the conference. Analyses of variance revealed no significant differences among the three lists on any occasion and a 3-way analysis of variance showed no significant list by testing interaction. Further analyses indicated significant differences over occasions. These findings support the view that the lists can be considered to be parallel forms for use in studies in which repeated measurement designs are employed to investigate mood, emotion, or depression and that they are sufficiently sensitive to measure depressive mood changes.
