Abstract
A representative sample of general textbooks and recent journal articles in pediatric medicine regarding toilet-training procedures were surveyed. A summary of the information available in these sources to the pediatrician regarding age toilet training, types of training and disorders associated with toilet training is presented. The results of this survey indicate that the information readily available in these sources is often inadequate or contradictory. Thus, the pediatrician may encounter difficulty in providing this information to parents concerned with toilet training. Keywords
