Abstract
Damage of biotypes C and E greenbugs, Schizaphis graminum(Rondani), was determined on Canada bluegrass, Poa compressa (L.), and 23 cultivars of Kentucky bluegrass, Poa pratensis L. Damage ratings for each biotype were made 4 and 5 weeks postinfestation on bluegrass infested at 1 or 6 weeks postemergence. Both biotypes caused greater damage to plants infested at 1 week postemergence than with plants infested at 6 weeks postemergence; cultivars responded similarly to both biotypes 5 weeks postinfestation. Entries which showed the highest levels of resistance included Canada bluegrass and Kentucky bluegrass cultivars ‘South Dakota Common,’ ‘Nebraska Common,’ ‘Vantage,’; and ‘Sydsport.’This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
