Wave front conjugation with gain and self-oscillation with a nematic liquid-crystal film

Abstract
We have observed for the first time wave front conjugation with amplified reflection return using the thermal nonlinearity of a thin film of nematic liquid crystal in conjunction with a low power laser (intensity on the order of 25 W/cm2). Self-oscillation is also observed.Keywords
