Abstract
The British genera of blowflies, if the term be restricted to members of the Muscid subfamily Calliphorinae, are Calliphora with the two species erythrocephala Mg. and Vomitoria L., Lucilia, with several species, of which the commonest in the Manchester area are caesar L. and simulatrix Pand., and Protocalliphora, withe two species azurea.
