Abstract
Gamma-ray bursts are one of the top unsolved mysteries in astrophysics, alongside such burning issues as the nature of dark matter and the cosmological constant. We have known of the existence of gamma-ray bursts for over 25 years, but these short flashes of gamma rays have defied all our attempts to understand their causes and origin. Keywords
