Abstract
Tetanus toxin prepared on a peptone-free medium has been detoxified with 0.2% formalin in about 3 weeks'' time. The resulting toxoid is antigenic and passes the standards required for such a substance. Use of such a toxoid in human immunization should prevent any possibility of anaphylactic reactions due to antigenic components of certain peptones, heretofore widely used in tetanus toxin production. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
