Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 23-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of Cushing's syndrome. The patient was in vigorous health until one year earlier, when his parents noticed that his face appeared puffy. During the next few months, while training for a lacrosse team at his college, he observed fatigue, decreased muscle strength, and easy bruising, accompanied by a slight increase in weight. A physician found hypertension, tremor of the hands, pink striae over the buttocks, and pedal edema. Seven months before admission he entered another hospital, where the fasting 8 a.m. cortisol was 20 μg per 100 ml . . .This publication has 20 references indexed in Scilit:
