Abstract
The amount of chick anti-dermatitis vitamin (pantothenic acid) in yeast varies with the medium in which the yeast is grown. Yeast grown in grain wort gave protection when fed at a 2% level, molasses yeast at 4% and glucose-salts yeast at 6%. Commercial bakers and brewers yeasts also protected at the 2% level, which is about the potency of animal tissues richest in this vitamin. Keywords
