Abstract

The BF₃·OEt₂ mediated addition reactions of electron-rich arenes to 1,3-dialkoxyhepta-2,5-diyne(dodecacarbonyl)- tetracobalt complex 1 directly afford [7]metacyclophanediyne(dodecacarbonyl)tetracobalt complexes.
