Abstract
The digestibility and voluntary intake of the young branches of poplar (Populus) and ash tree (Fraxinus) were measured in 3 Alpine goats. The digestibility of the different organic components of the poplar was higher than those of the ash tree, especially the cellulose (Van Soest) digestibility (69.4% and 46.5%). The voluntary intake of dry matter was 76 g/kg W 0.75 [body weight correction factor for meat production] and 60 g/kg W 0.75 for ash tree and poplar, respectively. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
