Alternate Methods for Analyzing Data from Education Experiments

Abstract
The importance of experiments in educational research is widely recognized, but methods used to analyze experimental data may not always be fully appropriate. Advantages and disadvantages of three analytic methods are discussed. A hypothetical data set is employed to make the discussion concrete. It is suggested that commonality analysis can be usefully employed in research studies in education, particularly when aptitude-treatment interaction studies are involved.Keywords
