Abstract
The lamellibranch genus Maitaia Marwick 1934, widespread in the upper Paleozoic deposits of New Zealand, is a synonym of the Timor genus Atomodesma Beyrich, 1864. A new species (A. marwicki) is described, and the description of Atomodesma trechmanni (Marwick) emended.Keywords
