Abstract
Influence of optical feedback-induced chirp on transmission performance of electroabsorption-modulator integrated DFB lasers is simulated for the first time. The measured transmission power penalties against modulator facet reflectivity show good agreement with the calculation, which directly shows the effectiveness of this simulation for reproducible low-chirp operation of electroabsorption modulator integrated DFB laser transmissions. Keywords
