Abstract
A method is given to compose the complete two dimensional wave energy spectrum by merging the measurements from two different systems. The presented method detects the directionality of the two dimensional wave fields by marine radar and the absolute scaling of the energy spectrum is attained by a surface following buoy. Examples of full two dimensional wave energy spectra are given, which have been taken during SAXON-FPN'90 onboard the 'FORSCHUNGSPLATTFORM NORDSEE'.<>Keywords
