Abstract
An intracavity Fresnel loss-plate technique of measuring gain characteristics of a laser is described. The technique is applied to the CO2 laser and the results are found to agree well with other published measurements.The saturation parameter of the CO2 laser is found to increase with laser discharge current.Keywords
