Abstract
The phase diagram of the LiTaO3‐SiO2 system has been reassessed by thermodynamic modeling with existing data from the literature. The Redlich‐Kister model was used to represent the Gibbs free energy of the liquid solution. The liquidus curves calculated from this model are in good agreement with experimental data. Also, the metastable subliquidus miscibility gap and spinodal were calculated. Keywords
