Host-Parasite Relationships in Cestode Infections, with Emphasis on Host Resistance

Abstract
The various types of natural and acquired resistance to cestode infections are discussed, using for the most part data from exptl. studies of Hymenolepis nana var. fraterna in laboratory animals. Factors modifying resistance, such as age, diet and intercurrent infection, are listed and discussed briefly. An account of our present understanding of the mechanism of resistance to Hymenolepis is given.Keywords
