Abstract
Individual differences among potential birth control users or among contraceptive clinic clients must be recognized in planning informative, persuasive, and effective birth planning programs. This article describes a longitudinal study conducted in three rural counties of upstate New York showing that contraceptive availability in the abstract is not enough.Keywords
