Abstract
The mass spectra of beryllium dialkyls R2Be (R = Me, Et, Prn, Pri, Bui, or But) have been examined and all ions identified. At low source temperature most of these compounds produce ions derived from electron-deficient associated species. Ionization potentials lead to bond dissociation energies in the molecular ion D(RBe+–R) of about 45 kcal. mole–1.Keywords
