Abstract
A novel coherent optical system is proposed based on transmission of two FSK modulated signals associated to orthogonal polarization states of a single‐mode fiber. At the receiver the transmitted signals are separated by Jones matrix inversion providing insensitivity to polarization fluctuations and allowing the use of two semiconductor lasers at the transmitter. Keywords
