Abstract
When rats were fed a cereal free ration of normal calcium content the utilization of phosphorus from phytic acid was markedly enhanced by the addition of vitamin D. This effect was less marked with inorganic phosphorus. In no case was the utilization of phosphorus from phytic acid equal to that of inorganic phosphorus. Keywords
