Abstract
Simple easy bruisability is found predominantly in women of fair complexion, with a thin textured skin, who present symptoms of endocrine dysfunction and frequently suffer from menstrual disorders. It is not due to any defect in the coagulability of the blood or decrease in the number of platelets. It is probably caused by a combination of factors, including undue thinness of the skin, abnormal fragility of the smaller blood vessels and defective cushioning of the subcut. vascular bed. Small doses of desiccated thyroid substance may be effective in the treatment of this condition. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
