Abstract
MASON: I would like to begin by asking a question concerning the scope of the European Nuclear Disarmament campaign in Western and Eastern Europe. KALDOR: I should say, first of all, that the European disarmament movement does not go under any single umbrella. It consists of literally thousands of small, local disarmament groups started by people through their own spontaneous efforts in small towns and villages all over Europe. European Nuclear Disarmament was set up in Britain to publicize the European idea in Britain and to help coordinate these groups with other peace movements in Europe. The scope of the movement is extraordinary and I think you can see this when you look at what has happened this fall. Keywords
