Abstract
An efficient synthesis of acetoxyfimbrolides and beckerelides analogs has been developed via peracid oxidation of 2-methyl-4-(1-acetoxybutyl)furan as the key synthetic step. Antimicrobial activity of the products has also been tested.Keywords
