Abstract
The mathematical formalism recently developed for solving multiterm linear recursion relations is used to obtain a solution of the linear potential problem, for any value of the orbital quantum number l, in terms of combinatorics functions. The wavefunctions are given as power series expansions and the energy eigenvalues as the roots of an infinite order polynomial. Keywords
