TEST OF A FUEL CELL OXYGEN ANALYZER

Abstract
A “fuel cell” oxygen analyzer was tested for accuracy under conditions of varying temperature and gas mixtures; it was also evaluated in clinical use. Under conditions likely to be encountered, it was accurate to ±3 per cent of the reading. Its response time is about 50 sec and it can be used for continuous monitoring of oxygen concentrations in tents, incubators, and ventilator or anaesthetic circuits.
