Abstract
A method of linguistic analysis (Bousfield et al, 1958) is applied to the speech of a schizophrenic patient to demonstrate the changes that have occurred in the course of psychotherapy. The analysis showed that as the patient's behavior became less disorganized, so did his speech; however, the content of his speech revealed constriction of ideation.
