Abstract
A case of an unusual reaction in a 50-yr. old woman to the intraven. injn. of 175 mg. of bromsulfalein (2 mg./ kg. body wt.) is reported. The reaction was immediate and was characterized by dyspnea, cyanosis, periphero-vascular collapse, chill, fever and transient ecg. evidence of right ventricular strain. Caution should be used in the injn. of this commonly used dye, especially if the patient furnishes an allergic history and if higher doses (5 mg./kg. body wt.) are used. Keywords
