Abstract
The preparation of (C6Br5)AuPPh3 and that of the complexes X2Au (C6Br5)PPh3 (X = Cl, Br, I), which were obtained by the reaction of the first with halogens, is described. cis-(C6F5)2Au(C6Br5)PPh 3 was prepared by starting from cis-Cl2 Au(C6Br5)PPh3. All the complexes are stable at room temperature. They are the first isolated pentabromophenyl derivatives of a transition metal. Keywords
