Abstract
Two transplantable uterine adenocarcinomas in rats were studied. Histologically, a periodic acid-Schiff-positive substance produced by the tumor cells accumulated around the cells, and ultramicroscopic examinations revealed the so-called intercellular “lamellar structure.” The sex hormones, estrogen and androgen, were found to be significantly related to the growth of these tumors. Keywords
