Chromonemata in Somatic and Meiotic Mitoses

Abstract
Chromonemata were found in Iris versicolor (2n= about 68), in root tips of Poly-podium incanum and Adiantum pedatum, in micro-sporogenesis of Tradescantia pilosa and Rhoeo discolor, in meiosis of Podophyllum peltatum, Iris versicolor, Pinus echinata, P. palustris, P. taeda, Allium neopoli-tanum, Gasteria sp., and Tradescantia virginiana.
