Abstract

Eighty-one spp. of Lema are known to occur in India. The present account embodies the results of a further study on another sp. of Lema, i.e., L. praeusta Fab infesting turmeric. The life history, food plants and the nature and extent of damage are discussed. A list of recorded host plants of economic importance of different sp. of Lema is also given.
