Abstract
Statistical analysis of 1583 hematological determinations on 399 blood samples from 115 chimpanzees from the colony at the 6571st Aeromedical Research Laboratory indicate that the relationship between age and sex and hematological values are in general similar to the trends reported for man. Erythrocyte, leukocyte and platelet values and erythrocyte sedimentation rates were somewhat higher in the chimpanzee than the norm for man. In contrast to man, the chimpanzee differential count contained proportionately more lymphocytes than neutrophils (approximately 50:40).This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
