Abstract
When chick embryos of 24-72 hrs. and 6 days are ground and injd. into hamsters, antibodies are produced wnich, when placed on preincubated embryos, stops their development at a time which corresponds to the time the embryo antigen was obtained. A high mortality rate results as well as a wide variety of anomalies. The results obtained point to the possibility that there are different protein complexes which make their appearance in the chick embryo concurrent with the embryo''s development. Keywords
