Abstract
Although neuroleptic malignant syndrome is rare, recognition is important because complications are potentially lethal and 20% of patients die. The condition must be differentiated from disorders such as meningitis, heatstroke, and malignant hyperthermia. Most cases have been caused by neuroleptic therapy. However, this article presents an unusual case that resulted from withdrawal of therapy with carbidopa and levodopa. Keywords
