Abstract
The sheared Kilonwa aegirine-arfvedsonitebiotite syenite, central Tanzania, is described, with three analyses and some mineralogical data. The syenite is compared with aegirine-granulites, -schists and -gneisses, from various localities, to which are ascribed metamorphic or metasomatic origins. The Kilonwa rocks, however, are considered to be of igneous parentage, forming an example of the small syenitic masses to be found in highly metamorphosed Pre-Cambrian terrainsKeywords
