Abstract
Z-Ligustilide (1), riligustilide (2), Z-6.6'',7.3a''-diligustilide (7), isovanillin and 4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid, were isolated from the roots of Ligusticum porteri C. and R. (family Umbelliferae; common name: chuchupate), which are used in traditional medicine. The chemical characterization of 3,8-dihydro derivative of 7 (9), allowed the structural reassignment of a constituent previously isolated from L. wallichii. Keywords
