Abstract
Hexoses and pentoses have been acylated with Amano PS, and Candida antarctica(Novo SP435) lipases, using oxime esters as acyl donors. This method represents the first report of the enzymatic acylation of free pentoses. The selectivity of the process depends on the structure of the starting material. Keywords
