Abstract
We compared the kinetics of cytochrome-c oxidase (cytochrome-c: oxygen oxidoreductase, EC 1.9.3.1) in fibroblasts derived from normal and cystic fibrosis individuals. The Km of the enzyme for reduced cytochrome c was significantly increased in CF cells; the change, however, was observed only at temperatures above 25°C.
