Ferromagnetic resonance linewidths of nickel ferrite

Abstract
The paper discusses the wide variations in the published linewidths of the ferromagnetic resonance of stoichiometric nickel ferrite and shows that, to a large extent, this variation could be explained by variations in the detailed methods of preparation. Values are given for the resonance linewidth as a function of the sintering temperature and oxygen pressure, where a minimum value of the linewidth of 135 Oe is obtained for specimens fired at 1200° C in an atmosphere of oxygen at 76cm Hg.
