Abstract
The suggestion is made, not entirely frivolously, that six-year-olds be given the right to vote, because it is hard to see how, otherwise, children are going to get adults to recognize and deal with their needs. A historical review of the status of children in the U.S. underlines the necessity of renewed concern for their plight. United action is urged by psychologists and other concerned persons on behalf of the rights and needs of children.
