Abstract
An estimate is made for strange particle production in collisions based on the single pion exchange model. For the three-particle final state (), fair agreement with experiment is achieved in both the total cross sections and the momentum and angular distributions of the final particles. For the four-particle final state (), general qualitative agreement is achieved for all total cross sections but one. In this, the case of production, it is suggested that perhaps production in collisions plays an important role.
