Abstract
The relative oscillator strengths of 49 lines of Cr I with excitation energies of up to 1.03 volts have been measured using the Oxford spectroscopic furnace to an accuracy of better than 1 per cent. Where a direct relative measurement could not be made because the ratio of oscillator strengths is too large, the value obtained by Huber & Sandeman using the hook method has been adopted. The relative measures have been placed on an absolute scale using lifetime data. Comparison is made with the data of other authors. Keywords
