Abstract
A simple and efficient computer program for the online determination of minimal realisations of transfer-function matrices using Rosenbrock's system matrix formulation is described. The procedure presented is shown to be computationally simpler and more efficient than previous methods and is illustrated by two examples. A reduction in computation time of the order of 100 : 1 compared with other similar algorithms has been achieved.Keywords
