Abstract
The serum pseudocholinesterase levels of 2215 patients scheduled for surgery over 13 mo. were studied. Low levels were found in 5.35% of the patients. An attempt was made to determine whether the low levels were due to external factors, e.g., hepatic disease, pregnancy, exposure to neurotoxic insecticides, or whether they were genetically determined. Keywords
