Abstract
In a previous work we showed that the use of medium-modified electromagnetic form factors of the nucleon, obtained from our theory of covariant soliton dynamics, led to a significant improvement in the agreement between theory and experiment for the charge density of . Here we show that the addition of corrections to the charge density obtained in the random-phase approximation leads to a further improvement when comparing the theoretical predictions and the charge distributions extracted from the experimental data.
